My family moved to Sisters in 1964, from Ventura California, when I was just going into the 1st grade the first time. We moved back to Ventura Calif. in the middle of my first grade year. We returned permanently, the summer of 1967. I would be going into the 4th grade that Fall. My family members were. As some of you may remember were...

My younger brother Wes was born on Hospital Hill where the first St. Charles Hospital was located, in Bend, Oregon June 1968. He is a true native Oregonian. As are most all of my parents grandchildren, and great grandchildren were.
My Mother lived here when she was a young girl with her family. Her real father drowned in the Kern County River, near Bakersfield California when she was just 5 months old, on the 4th of July. So, it was her Step father that brought her family to Sisters, and was the manager for the Lazy Z Ranch just south west of Sisters, Oregon in the 1940's.
It was always her dream, to return to Oregon, hopefully to raise her family in Sisters. She loved it here. She got her wish, and the rest is history... Some things may blog out about more to do with my family, and myself here as we go....
